5 Reasons You Should Paint Before Moving In

Paint before moving in because it’s just so much easier. Moving heavy furniture, jumping over clutter, and taking down artworks make interior painting much more difficult than it needs to be.

These chemicals are unavoidable (even low/no VOC paints contain some level of toxicity), and can cause headaches and nausea. It sometimes takes about two weeks for VOCs to dissipate entirely, so if you have the time, paint in advance.

If you don’t have to completely reconfigure the room and cover your belongings with protective sheets, interior painting happens much faster. Cleanup is quicker, too.

This goes hand-in-hand with reason number 3. If the job gets done faster, the job gets done cheaper.
